Talk about the cutest story ever. Alishia is a flight attendant for a commercial airline and Angela was her passenger after a work conference in Las Vegas. Says Alishia, “We had four hours to eye each other. On her way off my flight she slipped me a cute note that she had written on the back of her boarding card.” That was it for these two.
The Proposal:
This past New Year’s Eve the couple, along with some family and friends, took a boat cruise. Angela surprised Alishia by inviting one of her best friends who lived out of town. Says Alishia, “I had no idea he would be there. Once we got on the boat I saw him and I started freaking out.” Her friend kept avoiding her and wouldn’t answer when she asked him what he was doing there, but Alishia chose to enjoy the surprise and the party that followed.
Says Angela, “There I was with ring in hand having to wait 3 long months before finally making her mine forever. December came and I made arrangements for some of our closest friends and family to join us in celebrating the New Year and sharing this amazing moment in our lives. I must admit I was nervous about how it would happen and if it was going to be as magical as Alishia would have imagined.”
Angela envisioned a magnificent New Year’s Eve countdown, fireworks blazing through the skies and a grand finale that ended with a fiancée wearing a smile so bright she could light up the night.
“As midnight approached I secretly scrambled to gather everyone to the observation deck with cameras and champagne in hand. My best friend slid me the ring, 5-4-3-2, next thing you know I’m down on one knee asking the beautiful woman I met on that flight nearly 3 years before to be my wife.”
Says Alishia, “When the clock struck 12 Angela was down on one knee. I was elated. I am so glad our friends and family could be a part of our special moment.”
The brides will marry on 6/11/17.
