Brigantine, New Jersey
Amanda & Bobbie met ten years ago while working together. Now Bobbie—a pediatric nurse practitioner—and Amanda—a business communications leader—live outside of Philadelphia.
The brides say that some of Bobbie’s family were not supportive of her coming out, and that planning their wedding really let them know who truly loved them. “It was a painful reality at times but one that has made us stronger individuals and a stronger couple.”
A friend of the couple wrote and performed their outdoor ceremony, which the brides say made it very special. Both brides were escorted by their dads, and Amanda and Bobbie had their best friends by their sides that day. “These two people who have never questioned our relationship or had any issues. It was incredibly special to have them stand by us.”
Wedding Song: “How Long Will I Love You” by Ellie Goulding.
Amanda’s Favorite Moment: “Our first look. Bobbie looked amazing and I was never so sure of any decision in my life.”
Bobbie’s Favorite Moment: “Our fathers’ speeches. Both were honest and heart-warming.”
While the brides wish they’d a videographer to capture their wedding, there’s nothing else they would change from their special day.
