April 11th 2016
Brooklyn, New York
LS & LF met in Provincetown in the summer of 2012. Say the brides, “Both of us were separately visiting for the day with our best friends.” They began a relationship, and LS proposed with diamond earrings a few days shy of their second anniversary.
The brides chose to plan a fun and intimate April wedding at Brooklyn Winery. LS was escorted down the aisle by her mom and brother, while LF was escorted by her parents. Their closest friend served as bridesmaids and bridesmen, and a friend officiated the ceremony. “We also had a couple of friends do readings and speeches during the reception.”
Wedding Song: Rihanna “We Found Love.”
Say the brides, “This was one of the first songs we danced to on the night we met.” The brides had a first dance but say “it was more of a group dance.”
Both brides agree that their favorite moment from the day was when they exchanged rings.
Unique details include a wedding topper that was a map of Cape Cod, where they met. “We tried to keep everything about our wedding simple, but elegant and fun. We didn’t give gifts to our guests, but instead made a donation to SAGE (Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders).”
The couple had a perfect wedding day and say they wouldn’t change a thing.
