Jaime & Jessica's Bayside Retreat

May 24th 2015

Wareham, MA

Jaime & Jessica met on a dating website in 2011. When the women planned to meet at a bar in Boston, Jaime got lost and arrived two hours late. Jessica waited for her. Says Jaime: “I thought, ‘This girl has a lot of patience,’ and I knew she would be someone special in my life.” After two years of a long-distance relationship the couple decided to move in together in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

When it came time to plan a wedding, Jaime & Jessica did not want a typical venue, so they searched for something uniquely them. Jessica found The Windrock, a private estate in Wareham, Massachusetts, which features an old farmhouse overlooking Onset Bay. The couple rented the home for an entire week so their families could spend quality time together. “It was a bit stressful at times,” say the brides, “But we wouldn’t change a thing.”

Both brides were escorted down the aisle by their fathers—Jessica first, followed by Jaime.

Jessica’s Favorite Moment: “Seeing Jaime walking down the aisle, and seeing her dress for the first time.”

Jaime’s Favorite Moment: “Having all my family and friends there to celebrate us.”

The brides included Jaime’s sisters and best friend as her bridesmaids, and Jessica’s best friend as Maid of Honor and brothers as “Bro maids.” Their dog Gambit was also part of the festivities.

The brides enlisted family members to make cookies for dessert. “We have never seen so many different kinds of cookies at once,” say the brides. Jaime insists Jessica is the crafty one, and the brides made most of their decorations, which included birds and birdcages. Because Jaime loves mustaches, the brides added paper mustaches for all of the beer bottles. Guests loved all the unique, DIY details.
