Tizbee and Stephanie are a couple who complement each other in every way, living a life together that’s grounded in mutual respect but full of laughter and lots of love. Together Tizbee, a high school special education teacher and Stephanie, who works in client services for an online sports apparel company, planned a whimsical backyard wedding to celebrate with family and friends in Seattle, WA.
Both brides walked down the aisle for a ceremony and celebration they describe as “Vintage, whimsical, romantic,” and perfectly fitting to their personalities.
The wedding was a labor of love, with tables custom-made by Tizbee’s father, and plates collected from antique stores and garage sales over the course of a year. The girls in the wedding procession all wore tutus made by the brides.
Why This Venue:
Stephanie: “We really wanted a backyard wedding … but in somebody else’s backyard. The nursery spoke to us from the first visit. Not only that, but the space has a true family spirit. It is a nursery run by a wonderful woman, her family, and volunteers.”
Brides’ Favorite Wedding Memory:
Stephanie: “Looking into her eyes while she read a poem to me during the ceremony- reassuring her that she was doing great!”
Tizbee: “When our friends and family gave speeches during dinner.”
Wedding Song: Ed Sheeren- Thinking Out Loud & Sara Bareilles- Choose You
While their day was “perfect,” both brides admit they would change one thing: They wish they had their entire ceremony recorded. Lucky for us, Kaylen Jay So captured most of the celebration:
